In Christ

So one of the coolest things about being in a relationship with God is the perspective on your surroundings changes.  Love the humans, all the humans, to the fullest aspect of that word at all times.  There is no judgement or damnation.  There is no laundry list of wrong doings or jealousy.

What I'm saying is that each person can be met in the eye, without question, with all the love in your heart because they, like you, are created in God's image & have been given the same grace as you.  More importantly they are your neighbor, your brother or your sister, and you have been called to love them!  The cool thing is, that you can do this- I can do this and not for one second bat an eye & question whether or not it's OK.  Because believe you me, I want to question it, society demands we question it.  But, there is no fear in love.

Which brings me to a point that I'd rather not be - the times when we are afraid.  I struggle with this concept because if I do believe that God lives inside of me, which I do, because I asked for Him to be there- then this all consuming, unconditional love should always rest- why then, does it make me nervous to care?  Why is it that we are able to feel compassion for those we know care for us, but are unable to make this stretch when the person doesn't return the kindness?  That person hasn't changed- they aren't any less or more of a human, and by the logic presented at the beginning of this blog even if they were more or less of a human, it wouldn't matter.  Non- judgement is not a blind eye, it's the acceptance of what is regardless.  I don't have to sum up or value someone before I love them, I just do.  Because God does, and not because- oh God loves them I guess I have to to, no, because that love lives inside of me & God directs my steps.

Everything in life is ancillary to my relationship with God.  What sucks is that being human I forget where the focus should be, or is.  Like aiming a spot light on a Glowing orb d'love and then completely turning around and yelling into the dark- when you can keep looking at that Glowing orb d'love, and allow it to illuminate the world around you completely.  It's not a cancel everything out thing either. A lot of people forget that God created this perfect world with the original intent of communing with us & watching us enjoy everything around us.  We'll be there again someday, and Christ is the gateway to that.

To love without needing a reason.  Everything in life can be counted as joy, icing on the cake, your life is safe.
